Kids train with René Adler
For some children between 8 and 14 a dream came true. On Monday Bayer 04-pro René Adler trained with 24 boys and girls for almost three hours in the Soccer-Hall in Leverkusen. “Our goal today was mainly to have fun,” the national team goalkeeper said. And not only the children had fun: “It is great to see the shining faces, the excitement of the kids and also the way they follow our instructions.”
Adler coached the kids with three DFB coaches. The keeper let the children train their shooting skills and their coordination. In the break he answered their questions. At the end the group played 6v6 and Adler showed his skills on the field. After half of the time he changed the sides to be fair.
Adler watched the young goalkeepers with special attention. He gave them tips and advice. Moritz, U9 goalkeeper from DSC Dusseldorf was one of the lucky goalkeepers: “René told me to try and catch the balls rather than letting them bounce off.” (с)
